     Because the Voice Over Internet Protocols have Internet capabilities, routers a good product to have. The Gateway 102 is an analog telephone adapter or ATA, it has a built in router and a PSTN that you can pass through , you can also plug in an existing online line and then you can have a choice of lines that will deliver both incoming and out going calls. You can plug one end of the router into the broadband connection; the router has two ports so the second port you use is the LAN port for your computer.

You plug the analog phone in the other port and the sign onto an internet service provider if you already don’t have one and you can make and receive calls to other VoIP phones or out from the normal phone network. The SIP has some other advantages such as it does not cost you to call other people with VoIP, they offer a low cost for PSTN numbers. There is a low, low cost for international and international networks.

It is portable and you can be connected even if you are on vacation. The Gateway 101 is great for home and office; it is user friendly and has many multiple voice features that include Caller ID, Call Transfer and Call Forwarding. Another great feature is that it has a red glow light when the unit is offline, so you will know if you need to restart the router.
